Prime Time Lager
More lager! This is not a brand I had heard of before, so I thought it was worth trying. They also have an IPA, which gave me some hope.

Expectations
It's been a hot day, the beer has been in the fridge and I want something refreshing to cool me down. The low calorie stuff doesn't interest me, but something light and tasty would be ideal right now.
Experience
It's quite a pale yellow, with minimal head and some quite large bubbles. It actually looks quite fizzy.
It has quite a lemony citrus smell, reminding me of the shandy I would sometimes buy as a child when I wanted a change from cola.
The taste is quite bitter and there is a citrus element to it, but not as much as the smell would suggest. The taste is more like grapefruit than lemon, but thankfully it isn't strong enough to give drain cleaner vibes.
On the front of the can it says "Lager but better", and it is certainly better than some other lagers I have tried lately - it's actually quite refreshing. I don't think I would choose it for an everyday drink, but on a hot day like today it hits the spot nicely.
Verdict
4/5 : A tasty lager, with the right amount of citrus hoppiness.
