Not really news, more of a progress report. I've recently started on the changes that will end up in JPEG Saver version 4. The most important change is from using DirectDraw for double-buffering the transitions to full DirectX 9.0 transitions that will offload most of the processing to the graphics card. So far I have two of the old transitions working like this and two new transitions that would have been too slow to do before.
The other important change planned for version 4 is better and more complete support for multiple screens. I'd like to be able to have JPEG Saver running on multiple screens in such a way that they look like they are plugged into different computers. All of this is going to take me a while, so the next version is not likely to be available before the end of the year.

JPEG Saver version 3.1.3 fixes problems with deleting and adding items in the Items tab, and also keeps the cachetimeout value when you reconfigure. I've also added support for displaying IPTC data in the Image Info item, made the format boxes bigger, and added a new option for dimming the screen after a delay or when you press a key (but you'll have to play with the config file to get that one to work - at least until I can find somewhere to cram it into the dialog!)

Version 3.1.2 of JPEG Saver supports adding borders to the list of items to be displayed. Older versions supported displaying a border too, but you could only configure it by editing the jpegsaver.cfg file. The new border item is more flexible, since you can add as many as you like and change some aspects of where the border is placed.
This version also adds the option of formatting Exif date fields using the same placeholders as the clock item - see the documentation PDF for more details.

Looks like I got the download link for version 3.1.1 wrong. It should be working now.

Version 3.1.1 of JPEG Saver contains a bugfix for Exif data being kept between images. It also changes the delay input to display the time in hours, minutes and seconds, and lets you input the time in h:m:s format.
